Boundaries 101: What?/Why?/How?

Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 3/26/2024
Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Time: 7:30 PM
Description:
Boundaries 101 is presented by Licensed Professional Counselor Andrew King. "What are boundaries?" "What does it mean to have healthy ones?" "Do I have any at all?" "Is it possible to create them in my life?" "Why should I care about this concept at all?" These questions and many more like them are the types of things that I discuss every day with the clients in my office. These are the types of questions we are going to answer in this upcoming class. The goal of this class will be to develop a definitive and concise idea of healthy boundaries and their importance in all of our lives. We'll discuss how boundaries are or are not formed and the role our families of origin play in that process. We'll look at some of the popular myths surrounding healthy boundaries and begin to understand how to say yes and no when you want to and not just because you feel obligated to do so, regardless of the people involved. So if any of the above sounds interesting or thought-provoking in the least, come join us for an introductory workshop entitled: Boundaries 101: What?/Why?/How?
