Event Type: All Ages Age Group(s): Everyone Date: 7/1/2021 Start Time: 6:00 PM End Time: 8:00 PM Description: Join members of the Turtle Creek Watershed Association as they discuss the watershed, its history, recreational opportunities and environmental challenges. The event will include a brief presentation followed by activities geared for both children and adults. Among the scheduled activities are: hands-on demonstration of stormwater pollution problems, educational displays on abandoned mine drainage, discussions with local coal mining and industrial historians, and demonstrations of live turtles native to the area. Turtle Tales is being sponsored by the turtle Creek Watershed Association, which is celebrating 50 years of preserving and protecting the watershed. For all ages. Registration is required.
