She and her hiking partner have walked and paddled 5,000 miles from Ushuaia, Argentina to Cuzco, Peru. Their journey has taken them through Patagonia, across the driest desert in the world and over mountain passes higher than Mount Whitney (the highest peak in the continental United States).
